QF School Seminar

The Qualifications Framework (QF) is dedicated to supporting career planning education of secondary school students across different domains, while complementing Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) and fostering stronger ties between schools and industries. QF extended invitations to educators from all over Hong Kong to join a school seminar with the theme "Connecting Learnings, Developing the Future." The seminar, held on January 31st, 2024 at the Education Bureau Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre, witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of about 280 attendees.

The seminar commenced with a welcoming speech by Mr. Esmond Lee Chung-sin, JP, Deputy Secretary for Education. After an introduction to the QF and its close correlation with secondary school students, three key sharing sessions took place, focusing on: 1. the extensive support of the QF in career planning education; 2. the complementary relationship between the QF and VPET; and 3. the interconnection between the QF, industry, and schools. These professional sharing sessions proved highly beneficial for educators, who actively participated in the Q&A session, thereby significantly enhancing their comprehension of the QF and career planning education. The seminar ended on a positive and successful note.
