Media Briefing for the Award Scheme for Learning Experiences 2022

The Education Bureau held a media briefing for the 2022 Award Scheme for Learning Experiences, inviting Mr. Kenny LAU, an insurance industry awardee, and Chef TK LAM, an awardee in the catering industry, to share their experiences participating in the International Maritime Insurance Alliance Annual Conference 2021 and the 2021 Hong Kong International Gourmet Awards (Chinese Cuisine Cooking Competition) through the "Learning Experience Incentive Scheme."

Chef LAM received financial support from the award scheme, used it to purchase reference books and experiment with different ingredients, and successfully won the Gold Award in the Pork Belly Dish category at the cooking competition. Chef LAM's supervisor, also shared at the press conference how the company fully supported Chef LAM, enabling him to win. Chef LAM even gave an impromptu demonstration of his award-winning original dish.

Mr. Kenny LAU also shared how at industry seminar he learned about the insurance industry's contribution to global vaccine transportation efforts, with many unsung heroes in the insurance industry silently supporting these endeavors, hoping that more physical events can proceed smoothly in the future.
