The logistics industry has implemented Qualifications Framework (QF) since 2006 with the establishment of the Industry Training Advisory Committee (ITAC). It provided practitioners with a clear progression pathway and developed the industry standards in order to enhance professionalism and competitiveness within the industry. 

Five branches were identified in the industry, namely, “Airfreight & Express”, “Shipping”, “Land Transport & Distribution”, “Terminals, Warehouse & Logistics Centre” and “Supporting & Ancillary Services”, to address the training and development needs of the industry.
