Catering ITAC visited the HKCT – Food & Beverage Training Centre and the VTC – International Culinary Institute

To enhance the connections between the Catering Industry Training Advisory Committee (ITAC) and the education institutions, the Qualifications Framework Secretariat arranged visits for ITAC members or their representatives on 25^th April 2019 to the HKCT – Food & Beverage Training Centre in the Ma On Shan Campus and to the International Culinary Institute (member of VTC Group). Both institutions offered warm hospitality and thoughtful arrangements for ITAC members to learn about the QF-recognised catering training programmes available as well as to tour around the relevant training facilities. During the visits, ITAC members shared industry information and the manpower needs with the institutions, and exchanged views on the career paths of students.
