There is a wide range of work involved in the arboriculture and horticulture industry. Arboricultural work includes pruning, tree removal, cabling, guying, staking, planting trees and arranging tree safety structures to be undertaken at ground or elevated level. Horticultural work involves processes such as planting, tilling soil, watering, applying pesticides, pruning and clearing of withered plants. Effective management can ensure that trees and plants are taken care of properly to reduce the risks of tree collapses or plants being infected by pests or diseases.
