New Era Youth Recruitment Expo - Lok Fu Plaza, Kowloon

To encourage more young people to join the industry, the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) Industry Training Advisory Committee (ITAC) has developed a career pathway for professions of designated sectors of the industry, and rolled out in 2022 an 18-month pilot project "Laboratory Assistant Technician Scheme (Construction Materials Testing)" targeting at people aged 17 to 24. This year, four laboratories join the Scheme as employers and will provide on-the-job training for the scheme participants once they are hired. Participants will also be fully sponsored by the employers to study a QF Level 3 training programme. A recruitment expo for joining the scheme was held in August with details below:
