Vocational Qualifications Pathway (VQP)
Printing and Publishing ITAC launched VQP in November 2019. There are two pathways covering the following areas:
- Prepress function in Printing industry
- Editorial function in Publishing industry
Education and training providers are welcomed to design VQP courses which are fully-matched with the requirements of the job roles, or as specified by the industry.

Specification of Competency Standards (SCS)
Printing and Publishing ITAC has formulated a set of SCS for Printing and Publishing industry in 2006 and the supplement in 2015 respectively. In view of rapid change of the industry, ITAC has completed the update and revision of these SCSs and incorporated new areas in the SCS (Revised Version 1) in 2022.
Training Packages
Printing & Publishing ITAC will explore the need of developing SCS-based training packages to encourage enterprises and education and training providers to develop courses more closely aligned with the needs of industry.
