RPL for the Beauty & Hairdressing industries

RPL for the Beauty industry was launched on 2 July 2014.  Caritas Institute of Community Education is appointed as the assessment agency until 30 June 2027.  There are altogether 52 RPL qualifications at QF levels 2 to 4 available for application .  

RPL for the Hairdressing industry was launched on 1 June 2008.  VTC is appointed as the assessment agency until 30 June 2026.  There are altogether 40 RPL qualifications at QF levels 2 to 4 available for application.

    Application Procedures

    Minimum working experience requirements for applications of each level
    QF Level Years of working experience
    Level 1 1 year of relevant working experience in the Beauty or Hairdressing industry
    Level 2 3 years of service in the Beauty or Hairdressing industry (Include 2 years of relevant experience)
    Level 3 5 years of service in the Beauty or Hairdressing industry (Include 3 years of relevant experience)
    Level 4 6 years of service in the Beauty or Hairdressing industry (Include 4 years of relevant experience)

    Submission of application to AA

    Documents for applications:

    • application form
    • proof of working experience
    • assessment fees
    Applications processed by AA

    AA verify the documents and arrange assessment test

     *Transitional period for the Beauty industry ended on 30 November 2019.  Applicatant has to go through assessment test for all levels of RPL applications.

     *Transitional period for the Hairdressing industry ended on 30 November 2019.  Applicatant has to go through assessment test for all levels of RPL applications.

    Apply for reimbursement of assessment fees

    Statement of Attainment (SoA) will be awarded to applicant who has successfully passed the assessment test.  Applicant could apply for reimbursement of assessment fees to Qualifications Framework Secretariat.

    There are altogether 52 & 42 RPL qualifications for Beauty and Hairdressing industries respectively available for application.
