Vocational Qualifications Pathway (VQP)
Insurance ITAC launched the VQP in June 2020. There are altogether four pathways covering the following areas :
- Underwriting, Insurance industry (Life Insurance sector)
- Claims, Insurance industry (Life Insurance sector)
- Underwriting, Insurance industry (General Insurance sector)
- Claims, Insurance industry (General Insurance sector)
*Education and training providers are welcome to design VQP courses which are fully-matched with the requirements of the job roles, or as specified by the industry.
Specification of Competency Standards (SCS)
Insurance ITAC has developed three sets of SCS for Insurance industry covering General Insurance, Insurance Broker and Life Insurance. In order to cope with the development of the industry and the application of insurance technology, ITAC completed the update of the SCS (related to Vocational Qualifications Pathway) in 2023 to meet the needs of the industry.
