Sharing on Fashion RPL
In collaboration with Hong Kong Wearing Apparel Industry Employees General Union, Garment Fashion Practitioners' Association, and Hong Kong & Kowloon Spinning Weaving and Dyeing Trade Workers General Union, the FTU Employment Development Service Centre organised a sharing session on "Recognition of Prior Learning" (RPL) for the Fashion industry on 25.6.2022. Representatives of the Qualifications Framework Secretariat were invited to introduce the Qualifications Framework (QF) and the RPL mechanism to industry practitioners whereas representatives of the Clothing Industry Training Authority to introduce related RPL application procedures. Event participants were also encouraged to apply for the "Award Scheme for Learning Experiences 2022". Through engaging in learning activities related to the industry, practitioners can broaden their horizons and develop network with local and overseas industry partners within or outside Hong Kong. There were about 70 practitioners of the Fashion industry attending the event in person or online, and raising queries on details of Fashion RPL and QF Award Scheme.
