Backstage Tour of Travel Industry

The Travel Industry Training Advisory Committee (ITAC) piloted three “Backstage tour of Travel Industry” activities in October and November 2024. These events provided opportunities for students who are studying HKDSE Tourism and Hospitality subject to visit the headquarters of travel agencies, in order to gain in-depth understanding of the behind-the-scenes operations of travel agencies in Hong Kong and engage in interactive exchanges with industry practitioners. These activities aim to help students understand the development prospects and progression pathways in the travel industry, as well as plan their future studies and career paths. The activities received an enthusiastic response, with participants expressing that they enhanced their learning and improved their understanding of the travel industry and the Qualifications Framework (QF). The activities also increased their interest in pursuing a career in the travel industry and helped them realise that the QF is a good tool throughout their learning journey.
